Demory is a personal memory journaling application. We are committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about our practices.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app:

• Account Information: Your email address, used to log you in and identify your account. We use Google authentication — we never store your password.
• Memory Content: Titles, stories, dates, and mood tags that you voluntarily write. This is your personal journal content.
• Photos: Images you choose to attach to your memories. Photos are stored securely in our cloud storage.
• Usage Data: Basic activity like how many times a memory was viewed (view_count). We do NOT track your location, contacts, or browsing.

• ✅ To provide the 'On This Day' and mood insights features
• ✅ To keep your account secure and authenticated

We do NOT use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third parties.

• 🔒 All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• 🔒 Data is stored on secure, access-controlled servers
• 🔒 Authentication is handled by Google OAuth — we never see your password
• 🔒 Only you can access your memories — they are private by default
• 🔒 Photos are stored in secure cloud storage with controlled access

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• • AI Reflection Service: When you write a memory story, the text is sent to an AI service (anonymously) to generate your personal reflection. No personal identifiers are shared.
• • Google Authentication: We use Google Sign-In for secure login. Google's privacy policy applies to their service.
• • Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law.

• 📋 Access: You can view all your data inside the app
• ✏️ Edit: You can edit any memory at any time
• 🗑️ Delete: You can delete individual memories or your entire account (Settings → Delete Account)
• 📤 Export: Contact us to request a copy of your data

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app:

Settings → Delete Account

Upon deletion, all your memories, photos, and account information are permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems within 30 days.

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
