Cookie Policy

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your device. Demory also uses similar technologies like localStorage and IndexedDB to remember your preferences and keep you signed in. This policy explains what we use and why.

These are required for Demory to function. They cannot be disabled — without them, you couldn't stay signed in or use the app.

• app_theme_v2: Remembers your light/dark theme preference · Storage: localStorage · Duration: Until you clear browser data
• welcome_onboarding_done, username_setup_done, memory_journal_tutorial_done, app_tour_done: Remembers that you've completed onboarding and tutorial so they don't show again · Storage: localStorage · Duration: Until you clear browser data
• Auth token: Keeps you signed in between sessions · Storage: localStorage / secure storage · Duration: Until you sign out or delete your account
• FCM token: Enables push notifications on your device · Storage: IndexedDB / service worker · Duration: Until you sign out or disable notifications

Demory loads fonts from Google Fonts. This sends your IP address to Google so it can serve the font files. No Demory-controlled cookies are involved.

• Google Fonts: Loading these fonts sends your IP address to Google. No Demory-set cookies are involved. We recommend self-hosting these fonts to avoid this transfer (see TODO in the compliance report).

We plan to self-host these fonts to avoid this data transfer. Until then, your browser may connect to Google's servers to load fonts.

Demory does not currently use any analytics cookies or tracking SDKs. If we add analytics in the future, they will only be loaded after you give explicit consent, and they will be listed here.

Demory does not use any marketing or advertising cookies. We do not sell your data to advertisers.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time from the Cookie Settings page in Settings → Privacy. You can also clear stored data from your browser settings at any time.

Note: clearing localStorage will sign you out and reset your preferences.

If we add new cookies or technologies, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent again.
